Shopping for a evening gowns and wedding dresses is not the same as shopping for a blouse or jeans. Evening dresses and formal ball gowns need to be made for you and your body. And formal dresses off the rack were not made for you. Therefore sometimes they will look good on the hanger and not look good on you when you try it on.
Understand with any evening wear or bridal design…instead of using fit or trying on as criteria for looking good on…. better criteria is to say does the dress in the picture cover what I want to cover, and does it show what I want to show. If it does (either with or without changes) then you simply need to have it made according to you individual needs & preferences (again either with or without changes) in your own specific and personal measurements so that it will fit on you how you want, be made according to your specific body shape & hit on your body where you need it to – unlike any other dresses you may have tried on off the rack that did not look good on – which again is because it was not made to your specific body shape but instead in that designers stock sizes.
With our company, you can either…..choose a size from our size chart…..OR…..you can have us make your garment made in your specific personal measurements – which incurs a 15% surcharge.
Also keep in mind that alterations, fittings, modifications, changes or adjustments (for your body), if ever necessary, can be easily done by any one of your local tailors, seamstresses, or alterationist.
